About

Harvey Goldsmith is known as a Legendary Live Music Promoter and Live Aid Co-Organiser, with experience spanning music, entertainment, creativity and live performance. Harvey Goldsmith’s career began as a promoter in the 1960s. By the end of that decade, he’d created a number of high-profile events, including the Crystal Palace Garden Parties and the 14 Hour Technicolor Dream. One of the biggest events of his career, the “Global Juke Box” Live Aid, raised £140 million in 1985. In 2005 the feat was repeated, with ten Live 8 concerts running on the same day being broadcast world-wide. A huge number of bands were involved, and it confirmed Goldsmith’s belief that music is a successful means of fund-raising.
