1. Data we collect
Account data (name, email, password hash, optional avatar); profile data you choose to publish (handle, tagline, categories, location, gallery, rates, languages); booking data (messages, offers, contracts, reviews); device & log data (IP address, user agent, pages viewed, timestamps); cookies and similar technologies; payment-method metadata returned by our payment processors (we do not store full card numbers).
2. Why we use it (legal bases)
Contract: to provide the Platform, process bookings, deliver messages, surface profiles. Legitimate interests: to keep the Platform safe, prevent fraud and abuse, measure usage, improve features. Consent: for non-essential cookies and optional marketing emails. Legal obligation: to comply with tax, accounting and law-enforcement requirements.
3. Sharing
We share data with: (a) other Users as needed to enable bookings and communication; (b) infrastructure and analytics sub-processors acting on our instructions (hosting, database, email, error monitoring); (c) payment processors when you transact; (d) law-enforcement or regulators where legally required; (e) successors in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, under equivalent protections. We do not sell personal data.
4. International transfers
Our infrastructure providers operate globally. Where personal data leaves the UK/EEA we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
5. Retention
We keep account data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle disputes, comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse. Booking records, contracts and financial records are kept for a minimum of six years to meet accounting and tax requirements.
6. Your rights
Subject to local law you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, to receive a copy in machine-readable form, and to withdraw consent for processing based on consent. To exercise these rights contact privacy@stageside.com. You may also complain to your supervisory authority (in the UK: the Information Commissioner's Office).
7. Cookies
We use strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences. Where local law requires we will ask for consent before setting non-essential cookies for analytics or measurement.
8. Security
We use TLS in transit, encrypted storage at rest, role-based access controls and continuous monitoring. No system is perfectly secure — please use a unique strong password and enable account-level security features when available.
9. Children
The Platform is not intended for anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected data from a child we will delete it.
10. Changes
We will post material changes here and notify active users via in-Platform banner and/or email at least 30 days before they take effect.
