Baroness Helena Kennedy is known as a Human Rights Barrister, Law Reformer and Constitutional Expert, with experience spanning law, justice, human rights and public policy. Baroness Helena Kennedy QC is one of the UK’s most distinguished lawyers, with over 40 years of practice in the field of criminal law. She has conducted cases such as the Balcombe Street Siege, the Brighton bombing trial, the Guildford Four Appeal, the Michael Bettaney Espionage case and the Jihadist fertiliser bomb plot. Helena championed law reform for women, especially relating to sexual and domestic violence. She has received 39 honorary doctorates and is an Honorary Fellow of the British Academy and the Royal Society of Edinburgh. Helena has also been honoured by the governments of France and Italy.
