James Chau is known as a Broadcaster, Global Health Advocate and International Commentator, with experience spanning media, storytelling, current affairs and culture. James Chau has reported on some of the world’s most significant stories, from the Arab Springs to the 9/11 attacks, the spread of Ebola and the aviation disasters of Flight MH17 and AirAsia 8501. He has interviewed many high-profile figures including: Elton John, Muhammad Yunus, Robert Mugabe, Arianna Huffington, Joko Widodo and Chinese First Lady Peng Liyuan. Now a Special Contributor for China Central TV, James’ reports have won him the love of 1.7 million followers on the social network Weibo. In 2009, Chau was appointed as a UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador. He has worked with the Crown Princess of Norway, Annie Lennox and Professor Françoise Barré-Sinoussi, who won the Nobel Prize for Medicine after co-discovering HIV in 1983.
